ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT |

The study and understanding of organization and management concepts, theories and principles and their relevance and application to government institutions. This will include the study of organizational structures, their organizational capacity to cope with environmental change, their ability to grow and develop the skills to aply the management functions and their commitment accelerate economic growth, enhance moral development and promote spcio-political awareness. |
COURSE OBJECTIVES |

This course will provide the academic foundations of students in base-line concepts, principles and functions of management in order for them to have the skills to appreciate and use in managing their respective organizations. Specifically, the course will provide the students:

Knowledge on the basic concepts, theories and principles and functions of organizations and management |

Understanding of the limitations / constraints as well as benefits / advantages and application of these concepts, principles and functions to present-day organization requirements |

Insights into sample government organizations on how they are organized and managed in relation to their commitment for economic, socio-cultural and moral development. |
